Turn a Product Photo into a Video
A practical guide to reference photos, motion prompts, model settings, credit budgeting and finishing a product video with music or voiceover.

You can use Kenerate AI at kenerateai.net to turn a product photo into an AI video clip. Upload an image in Image to Video, choose a compatible model, describe the motion and check the credit estimate before generating. For a finished advertisement, combine your selected clips, text and audio in an editing tool.
This guide is for sellers, creators and small marketing teams with a product image and a clear idea. The prompts below are starting points to adapt, not examples of guaranteed output.
Open Image to Video · Check models and credit costs
1. Prepare a useful reference photo
Choose a sharp image with the whole product visible, clear lighting and a simple background. A tightly cropped label, hidden product edge or blurry detail gives the model less useful information. Use a photo you have permission to upload.
- Decide where the clip will appear. A vertical social post and a wide website banner need different framing; choose an aspect ratio supported by the model.
- Keep important details away from the edges. If the output ratio differs from the photo, inspect the framing rather than assuming every detail will stay visible.
- If you need a new scene first, use Image to Image for a prompt-based variation, then check the result before animating it. If you need a visual concept without a reference, start with Text to Image.
Reference images guide the generation. They do not guarantee exact preservation of the product, packaging or lettering.
2. Choose the model for the shot
In Image to Video, select a model that accepts your image and supports your required aspect ratio, duration and resolution. Upload the photo and review the available settings. Controls vary by model; not every model supports the same inputs or outputs.
Start with one short test clip. If you compare models, keep the reference and brief the same and use comparable output settings. Judge the product shape, label, motion and cost together. A more expensive result is not automatically a better fit for your shot.
The pricing page includes a model cost guide and output estimates. Confirm the estimate in the workspace after changing your settings.
3. Describe one simple movement
A useful starting prompt names the product, the setting, one camera movement and the details you want to preserve. Avoid combining a spinning object, moving hands, a changing background and a fast camera move in the same first test.
For a perfume bottle, adapt this prompt to match your reference:
Use the uploaded product photo as the visual reference. A perfume bottle stands upright on a pale stone surface in soft window light. The camera slowly pushes in while the bottle stays still. Preserve the bottle shape, cap, label placement and original colors. No hands, added objects or new text. Calm, minimal product cinematography.
Select duration, resolution and aspect ratio in the tool's settings. Mentioning a setting in the prompt does not make an unsupported format available. Requests to preserve a label are creative instructions, not a guarantee of accurate text.
For an existing scene that already looks right, keep the prompt focused:
Keep the reference composition and product position. Add a very slow camera push-in and a subtle change in reflections. Keep the background still. No product rotation or extra objects.
4. Review the result before making more clips
Watch the whole clip, including its first and last frames. Check the product silhouette, packaging color, logo, label and any visible hands or faces. Also check whether the movement is useful for your intended edit.
- The product changes shape: simplify the motion, keep it stationary and try a clearer reference. Compare another compatible model if needed.
- Letters or logos change: use less movement around those details. Add exact marketing text in your editor; do not treat generated lettering as verified copy.
- The result is too busy: remove extra actions and specify a still background.
- The result misses the brief: change one prompt detail at a time so you can identify what helped.
An additional version is a new generation and uses credits. A completed clip you want to improve is different from a technical generation failure.
5. Plan the remaining shots with the Agent
For a longer advertisement, build a short shot list instead of assuming one generation will produce the finished film. You can ask the Agent to help plan the sequence and generate its assets through a conversation.
Try a planning request like this:
Help me plan a 15-second vertical ad for the product in my reference photo. Suggest three shots: an opening product view, a detail close-up and a final hero shot. Give me a separate motion prompt for each shot, a short voiceover script and a music direction. First show the plan and the settings I should consider; I will choose which assets to generate.
Fifteen seconds is the intended edit length in this example. The model's available clip lengths determine how you generate the individual shots, and you can trim them in your editor. Use consistent references where supported and check continuity between takes.
6. Add music, narration and final text
Use Text to Music to describe the mood, genre and instrumentation. For narration, open AI Audio, choose a supported voice option and enter your script.
For example, a music brief could be:
A calm instrumental bed for a minimal product advertisement, with soft keys and light percussion, no vocals and space for a short voiceover.
Generate music and narration as separate assets, then download and arrange them with the selected clips in your editing tool. Trim the shots, adjust audio levels and timing, and add accurate titles, prices, captions and a call to action there. This workflow does not automatically assemble a finished multi-scene advertisement or synchronize a speaking character's lips.
7. Budget for the project, including extra versions
Add the displayed estimates for all planned image, video and audio generations. Include additional versions you intend to try. A useful calculation is:
Project credits = image task credits + video task credits + audio task credits + additional takes.
For illustration only, suppose your chosen settings display 10 credits per image, 50 per clip and 20 for one voiceover. Two images, three clips and one voiceover would use 2 × 10 + 3 × 50 + 20 = 190 credits. One more clip at those settings would add 50 credits. These are hypothetical values, not current model prices; use the estimates shown in your workspace.
Your money cost per credit depends on the pack or plan you purchase. One-time packs suit occasional use and are valid for 365 days from granting. Subscriptions provide a monthly allowance that expires at the next monthly refresh without rolling over; annual subscriptions are billed yearly and release that allowance monthly. Existing purchases keep their original rules.

Can I use a clip in a shop listing or client advertisement?
Check the Terms of Service, the selected model provider's terms and the rights to your reference materials. Review the output for inaccurate product details, third-party logos and unauthorized likenesses. Generating an asset does not establish the accuracy of product claims or clear third-party rights.
What if generation fails?
Eligible technical generation failures receive credit refunds. Content or policy refusals may be non-refundable. Check the task status and credit history. If something looks wrong, contact support with the task ID.
When should I use a dedicated editing tool?
Use this workflow to generate and explore images, clips and audio. Use an editor for precise timelines, exact text, captions, transitions and final audio mixing. If your task is mainly cutting existing footage, you may want to start in your editor and generate only the missing assets here.
Can I upload confidential client material?
Review the Privacy Policy and your client's requirements first. Prompts and references are processed to provide generation, including through AI providers. Contact support before uploading if you need confirmation of specific retention or training requirements.
